A Month In!

We are a month into our 3rd grade year already! I can't believe it, time is sure flying by! Also, I can't believe I haven't posted to our blog yet. I promise that I do it more often than this! It's been a crazy beginning of the year!

Here's a few things we've been up to so far. We spent a lot of time the first few weeks sharing bags, playing games, playing outside, and learning as much as we can about each other.

We were so excited to start reading, we read on the very first day! We've been reading rock stars ever since!

Summer Recap!

I enjoyed my summer to pieces and didn't even blog ONE time! I've was thinking I should give a little recap of my summer before school started, but here we are on the second week already! So much for that! And it feels like fall outside! Oh well, I want to share some things with you from my summer before we get too busy and I have lots of classroom things to post! ...... I already have some! :)

1. In June, I had a family reunion. My husband and I, my sister, brother-in-law, two nephews, and my mom drove down to Nebraska/Iowa to celebrate with many of my relatives on my mom's side.

2. We had ANOTHER family reunion for my husband's side of the family over the 4th of July. Luckily this one was at our farm only a mile from our house! It was a nice quick drive! :)

3. We got a new puppy! Her name is Denali and she's a black lab. She has a beautiful, shiny black coat, and is just under 4 months old. She was left abandoned out in the country and we decided to keep her! We already have a chocolate lab named Layla that is 7. They love each other!
